Disks Evaluation for passive sampling

New publication about AttractSPE®Disks HLB & SDB-RPS for passive sampling

Scientists from German Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG), from German Environment Agency (UBA) and from the Swiss Center for Applied Ecotoxicology have published an evaluation of performances of AttractSPE®Disks HLB and SDB-RPS and a comparison with 3M Empore™ SDB-RPS disks whose production stopped by 3M in 2018.

These experiments of passive sampling involved a set of pesticides covering a broad log Kow range. They showed that AttractSPE®Disks SDB-RPS is an excellent alternative to replace 3M Empore™SDB-RPS disks thanks to similar sampling properties.

AttractSPE® Disks HLB was also evaluated in similar conditions and performed better than SDB-RPS disks collecting higher concentrations of pesticides.
