Glyphosate [(N-phosphonomethyl)glycine] is a non-selective broad-spectrum herbicide that is extensively used in agriculture. The biodegradation of Glyphosate (GLY) in the environment leads to aminomethylphosphonic acid (AMPA) as well as glufosinate.
AFFINIMIP®SPE Glyphosate – AMPA are selective solid phase extraction cartridges that selectively clean and concentrate Glyphosate, AMPA and glufosinate prior to analysis by HPLC without derivatization.
AFFINIMIP® SPE Glyphosate – AMPA is available under 6 mL and 12mL format. This kit contains SPE cartridges, and a detail protocol for its application.

Analysis of Glyphosate by LC-MS/MS without derivatization in Beers
AFFINIMIP®SPE Glyphosate has been successfully used for the enrichment and cleanup of glyphosate, AMPA, and glufosinate from blond beer and dark beer. AFFINIMIP®SPE Glyphosate demonstrated a high selectivity for the three molecules, giving good recoveries. In addition, the protocol has shown a good reproducibility with a relative standard deviation between 5% and 9% over 7 samples.

Analysis of Glyphosate-AMPA-Glufosinate in sea water with AFFINIMIP®SPE Glyphosate
This application note describes the purification of glyphosate, AMPA, and glufosinate with 500mL of sea water at 200ng/L using AFFINIMIP® SPE Glyphosate via an automate Gilson 274 ASPEC Large Volume System. The method is done WITHOUT DERIVATIZATION saving a lot of time and trace analysis was done by LC-MS/MS. Recovery higher than 90% were observed for glyphosate and AMPA with a good repeatability.
